Position involves advising on and the preparation of finance raisings across a wide range of sectors, incorporating both debt and equity. Day to day tasks include;- Managing and maintaining online Due Diligence Data Rooms: - Monthly performance reporting for a group of clients:- Financial Projection Preparation;- Independent Business and Strategy reviews; - Financial Due Diligence reports; - Review of Completion accounts, and assisting in buy/sell side financial advisory work; - Commercial advisory including tender and procurement advice; - Preparation of detailed Information Memorandums; - Preparation of Company Valuation reports; - Preparation of Goodwill Valuation reports; - Detailed market, industry and entity specific research

I have worked on a wide variety of projects varying both in size and sector. Tasks ranged from preparing accounts for small audit-exempt companies and sole traders through to being assigned the role of “in-charge” on a group of companies with turnover in excess of £1bn (US $1.6bn) and other including several of Northern Ireland’s top 10 companies. A typical day would include; liaising with and reporting directly to senior management, partners and other departments within the firm, along with developing and maintaining excellent client relations. The experiences gained over the course of my employment include:-Responding to, or relaying to a higher level, client requests or queries, in a timely manner-Preparation for and participation in meeting with clients’ senior staff and directors-Relaying information through an appropriate medium to client’s staff, from both financial & non-financial backgrounds, and ability to adapt both the scope & depth of information to suit the needs of the user-Realising the importance of budgeting time and staff seniority in order to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner, without compromising quality of service-Preparation of accounts from both primary accounting data & Trial Balance for clients of various sizes and industries-Preparation of statutory financial statements & group consolidation-External audit experience includes: -Planning audit approach in light of risk assessment of engagement-Coordinating and performance of fieldwork-Internal system & control testing-Substantive procedures including detailed analytical reviews-Reporting on operational weaknesses encountered-Preparing completion documentation including written communications to clients-Communication with other firm departments & where appropriate recommending further services -The mentoring, coaching, review & approval of work completed by other team members-Quarterly reviews for group reporting purposes
