Navigating tie-in complexities, I integrating elements into existing pipeing systems for a cohesive design. Globally, I led Petrofac's piping team in India, creating an advanced design for the GOSP plot. Collaboration was key, facilitating seamless communication with the Client team and orchestrating meticulous 3D model reviews.

Fawley Refinery

As lead field engineer for Exxon's Fawley Refinery major upgrade, I led a precision-driven initiative. Key to success was identifying process and utility tie-ins, seamlessly integrating interconnecting piping across multiple units. I maintained continuous dialogue with the client, aligning every line route and tie-in with their vision. Internationally, I contributed to the Indian design office, guiding and conducting meticulous checks on process unit upgrades. Because of close collaboration with client, model reviews went well, making each upgrade a significant leap forward.

A short-term contract with Jacobs Engineering to develop plot plans for a cutting-edge battery manufacturing company's tank farm and process building. Prepared line shoots to validate plot arrangements. Conducted preliminary bulk material take-offs, laying the foundation for insightful cost evaluations. My role extended to precisely pinpointing utility tie-ins and strategically outlining modifications or removals of existing plant equipment and piping.

Pre-FEED Study to transform an existing refinery into a state-of-the-art storage facility. Navigated on site intricacies to determine the most efficient method for installing new piping. Located new piping tie-ins. Routed new piping to maximise installation, before plant shutdown and the removal of redundant piping and equipment. Prepared tie-in sketches, schedules and installation philosophies for Engen Petroleum in South Africa.

Meticulously planned equipment and piping layouts for water gathering and reinjection well-sites, integrating permanent and temporary pigging facilities for BP Oman. Reviewed piping documents and standards, ensuring seamless alignment with the vision of the Raw Water Treatment Facility designed by another contractor.

Responsible for the design development of three gas-producing platforms with six wells each for 'Cardon IV' in Venezuela. Validated piping FEED layouts. Managed a team of piping designers, stress and materials personnel. Developed plot plans. Prepared man-hour estimates, design specifications, installation and review procedures. Success was mapped through meticulous plot plans, and PDS 3D model reviews. Reviewed Vendors & inter-discipline docs. Interfaced with Client, PMC contractor & installation contractor. The high-pressure piping was designed to to Norsok specifications.

Responsible for the development of Plot Plans for the ICF (Inter-Connecting Facilities). The sizing and modular construction of the Pipe Racks and the piping design of stick built, Metering Skid & Fuel Gas System, for the Sadara Integrated Project for Dow & Saudi Aramco.

Responsible for the preparation of 'scope of work' and 'CTR' documentation. Supervising a piping design team, we meticulously prepared plot plans and designed piping systems for existing offshore platforms, collaborating with industry leaders such as British Gas and Repsol. Overseeing maintenance projects and upgrades for the Atlantic LNG plant, with a particular focus on piping insulation thicknesses and the supporting of the cryogenic piping.

In an EPC contract for Gasco's Habshan sour gas plant expansion, I played a central role in coordinating with the client to determine tie-in types and locations, preparing tie-in documentation, and overseeing the implementation of new piping within existing units. This included managing the jacketed piping between the existing and new Sulphur Recovery Units, as well as integrating new piping in the existing interconnecting pipe racks. I conducted model reviews with the client to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with project goals.9 months FEED study for the multi-unit Saudi Kayan project, developing plot plans and piping studies for stick-built and modular pipe rack areas in the Flare, Utility, and Effluent Treatment zones. 12 months FEED, study, for Gasco’s Habshan sour gas plant, Developed plot plans and piping studies for 6 new process units. Locating new interconnecting pipe racks, & piping tie-ins. Numerous site visits & surveys to discuss tie-in location & implementation with client.6 months in Kuwait as Piping Design Engineer in a PMC role for KOC.

Developed plot plans and piping layouts for the underground storage facilities for the Saudi Strategic Storage Program, Site 7, for Aramco.Exxon’s’s Fawley refinery doing detailed site surveys to maximise pre-shutdown construction scope of work.

Undertook detailed piping site surveys of Dungeness ‘B’ nuclear power station for stress analysis of critical piping systems to check compliance with current seismic regulations.
