Responsible for:-• Sourcing opportunities for tendering geotechnical consultancy work.• Taking responsibility for the generation of proposals and tenders including the scoping and pricing of work.• Developing a team of geotechnical consultants to deliver consulting projects and provide overall line management and technical and commercial oversight of that team.• Being a direct interface for relevant clients in terms of work winning and ongoing project delivery.• Working in close liaison with the ground investigation operational teams and laboratories and generate new business for those parts of the business.• Proactively prospecting new and existing clients to promote all ‘Consulting’ service lines and wider services to generate leads and opportunities.• Ensuring the team’s compliance with all Health and Safety requirements to reduce the risk of Incidents/Accidents and involvement in site safety audits.

• Responsible for the tendering, contract negotiation, scoping, project management, financial management, technical content, invoicing and delivery of soil and groundwater investigations, geotechnical and geo-environmental risk assessments, due diligence and remediation projects upto the value of £150k within the company. Clients include a mixture of real estate, developer, residential, utility, local authority and commercial clients.• Geo-environmental quantitative risk assessments undertaken to RD P20, EA RTM, SNIFFER, RBCA, CLEA v1.06 and involved in the production of S4UL’s.• Geotechnical expertise involves analyses of soil and rock slope stability, deep basement assessment, shallow and deep foundations, wind-energy foundation and cable route projects, earthworks, ground improvement and settlement analysis of large scale industrial buildings on poor quality land.• Involvement on several large EIA projects for planning consultants, delivering the Ground Conditions requirements.• Responsible for the mentoring and development of 5 junior engineers within the company, facilitated by the production and monitoring of our recently GSL accredited C.Geol training scheme, which I personally put together and drove through the accreditation process.• Relationship building with clients by presentation of CPD seminars on location and networking at company organised events.• Liaison and negotiation with local authority and Environment Agency regulators.• Involved in the business strategy of the company and driving forward the growth plan.• Advising clients on aspects and consequences of waste soil classification and management, promoting the sustainable and cost effective development of land. Production and validation of MMP’s in my capacity as a CL:AIRE CoP QP.• Some expert witness work; production of report and meeting of experts on geotechnical case concerning shallow foundations on a domestic house.
