For example, aerosol physics and experimental fluid flow methods are being applied to nuclear material storage containers, HEPA filtration, air sampler development, and exhaust stack design. ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND ACTIVITIES: Design, construction and evaluation of air sampling devices for radioactive or biological aerosols. Track etch detector systems for neutron dosimetry. Hot wire methods for fluid velocity measurements. Generation and analysis of aerosols, including: liquid oil aerosols, attached and unattached radon daughters, and solid radioactive uranium aerosols.
