About Murray Hutton

My name is Murray Hutton. I am an Australian national with over twenty years of experience in ESL/EAP/ESP/IELTS Preparation and English for business and in hospitality. I have taught in Australia, Japan, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, as well as many places in China. I can speak and read Japanese and Mandarin Chinese, both to an intermediate level. I have had some years of experience in the Japanese inbound tourism industry.I am based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. My main focus is an the opportunity to teach ESL/EAP at a tertiary level in academic/vocational English, preferably at a recognized university, TAFE or RTO, this with a view to a possible advisory/curriculum development role in future. I am also interested in teaching literacy and numeracy to newly-arrived migrants, early school-leavers, aboriginals or other people who may not have literacy and numeracy skills to function effectively in Australian society. I am also interested in transcription and translation of English at a non-technical level. Alternatively, I seek to further a career in Customer Care, especially in a call centre, or remotely at home, to provide flexibility for occasional substitute teaching and possible further study in the future.

Listed skills include Esl, Ielts, Tesol, Adult Education, and 20 others.
