The role is responsible for Business Development and the Heartbeat deployment and rollout across New Zealand and Australia. Currently the New Zealand instance is being deployed into the Travel Insurance sector. In Australia, Heartbeat has completed acceptance testing and preparing for production deployment

The role involved; creating, designing, building and deploying the Heartbeat Platform that enables an Insurance Company Customer to request and receive an electronic encrypted copy of their health summary via the web or mobile device. The customer can use health summary for the purposes of underwriting, claiming and when seeking medical emergency assistance whilst travelling.In conjunction with a European Reinsurer, Heartbeat processed 60,000 Australian summaries against the Reinsurer's rules engine to prove a Heartbeat health summary could be used to automate underwriting and claiming without the need of human intervention. The Reinsurer has now endorsed Heartbeat to be used around the world in over 14 countries
