Ict Training And Project OfficerLogan City Council Jun 2018 - Nov 2018150 Wembley Rd, Logan Central Qld 4114The role as an ICT Training and Projects Officer for Logan City Council was on a 6-month Labour Hire contract, backfilling for a staff member on long service leave. This role required that I carry out a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) before creating new and updating existing staff training materials in both Office 2016 / 365 products; as well as developing new training materials for in-house Enterprise Property Management and GIS software , for example Infor Pathway and ESRI CityView Web. Once this material had been created, I was responsible for its delivery to staff in the LCC ICT Training Room. As well as this responsibility, I was responsible for all bookings for all other staff training activities carried out in this room. Additional duties were to assist with projects as directed by my Team Leader where extra resources or skills are needed. Logan City council Information Services was undertaking a strategic redevelopment, and aspects of this redevelopment required my input and skills to determine the most appropriate way forward for the Team. -
Resource Specialist Team Lead – IctAustralian College Of Training And Employment 2015 - 20163 Westmoreland Blvd, Springwood Qld 4127My role at ACTE Head Office was to lead two teams. The first was made up of Resource Specialists like myself developing Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) compliant Learning and Assessment resources to support the organisation’s ICT Diploma programs. This team was made up of seasoned VET professionals with many years of experience. We were responsible to produce resources that were 100% compliant with the National Training Packages (NTP) and Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) regulations.I also managed a team of technical writers that produced the initial draft content. The role of the Resource Specialist was to validate the draft material against the relevant NTP to determine its validity and compliance with audit requirements and work with the technical writer to develop the product before publication on our LMS.One project my team and I were to complete before December 2016 was the complete document automation of resource publication using Microsoft Office VBA macros. My experience with Visual Basic 6 and VB.NET gave me an insight into the VBA event -driven language, allowing my team to produce a fully automated document production system based on a ‘master’ template document. The system would allow anyone to run the macros to produce a suite of documents that were correctly formatted to the requirements of the particular faculty requiring the documents. This was poised for release at the time my team and I were unfortunately made redundant in November 2016 due to uncertainty in the Vocational Training industry. -
Distance Ict Tutor – Information TechnologyEvocca College 2013 - 2015163 Wharf St, Brisbane City Qld 4000My role in this areas was initially as a member of and then to lead a team of ICT tutors to support distance students studying for a Diploma of Information Technology. Distance study is very different to classroom study and involved being able to support students from very different backgrounds and age groups. My excellent communication skills were of great help in this role. This role involved facilitating distance online learning, mentoring and motivating students, leading workshops and working with students, Identifying individual learning needs and marking assessments. Any other administrative tasks were performed as necessary. -
Information Communication Technology TeacherMoreton/Metropolitan South Institute Of Tafe 1998 - 2012Windemere Rd, Alexandra Hills Qld 4161My role at Moreton TAFE was initially to teach the Diploma of Information Technology (Software Development) to full time and part time students at the Alexandra Hills Campus.Initially, my primary role at Bayside campus was to deliver advanced Visual Basic 6 training to students studying Diploma of IT (Software Development). To ensure that the training I provided was industry relevant I tasked each group of students to find a small business that required custom software and then implement the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process to develop the client’s software in VB6. As time moved on I worked with VB.NET to achieve the same result. Once Metropolitan South TAFE discontinued the Diploma (Software Development) program I was part of the team that delivered the Certificate III (Networking) qualification until my redundancy in 2012.The entire time I was employed by TAFE I was responsible for developing my own learning and assessment resources to meet the requirements of the Diploma structure. Initially, this was state-based until the introduction of National Training Packages (NTP) into the ICT training in 1999. After this date all the material I developed for student learning and assessment was subject to an annual internal audit.I also performed the role of Coordinator at Bayside campus from 2000 until the role was removed due to the amalgamation of three TAFE institutes into Metropolitan South TAFE. As well as teaching and assessing students I also coordinated the Bayside IT team’s day to day activities

Voluntary Rto Administrator4 Wheel Drive Queensland Inc 1998 - 201190 Muriel Ave, Moorooka Qld 4107My role here was strictly voluntary as I had the skills and knowledge to support an organisation trying to make a difference in the way the public perceived their members and their recreation. 4WDQLD was attempting to resurrect the accredited 4WD training being delivered, and I was approached to assist. 12 years later I was still attending to all aspects of RTO activity i.e. accredited training, audits, resource development, etc. Due to a health issue in 2012 I reluctantly resigned from this position
