Murray is an experienced architect and co-founder of Untitled Practice, a progressive landscape and architecture studio, set up in 2009 with landscape architect Fenella Griffin, which specialises in urban public realm and landscape infrastructure renewal projects.Our work is at the forefront of Climate Change impact mitigation, focussed on Green Infrastructure strategy and implementation to increase environmental sustainability for all life, including for humans, but also the flora and fauna that we rely upon to sustain healthy living.This work ranges across all scales S-M-L-XL, from working with private home-making clients, and local government and 3rd sector organisations on community-led public space improvements, to public sector and private developer urban landscape planning and regeneration, including local, regional and sub-regional strategy and policy, as well as actual project delivery on site.Urban landscape project examples range from an 80sqm biodiverse habitat wall at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital in London Bridge, to a 1.5km linked park system at Valley Gardens in the heart of Brighton, a UNESCO Urban Biosphere Reserve. This latter project was completed during the pandemic year of 2020, when the value of public green spaces in our cities has gained further renewed significance. Most recently, during 2020, UP has been appointed to work on 2 parts of Aylesbury Garden Town's ambitious masterplan delivery, including the renewal of its 2 main town centre spaces Market Square and Kingsbury, and, with Urban Movement, parameter plans for its 18km linear orbital park, Aylesbury Gardenway.Untitled Practice's work is consistently recognised by awards across a diverse range of categories, highlighting our adaptability, and capacity to find something unique and special in all project situations.
