Murray Thomas led the MPA Group, consisting of the Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association of WA (MPGA), Master Painters and Decorators Australia and MPA Skills, the industry peak training organisation for 11 years. In 2011 he was also the first plumbing industry representative to be appointed to the Australian Building Codes Board.Prior to his appointment at the MPGA, Murray headed up the WA chapter of Tradelink Environmental Solutions. His primary focus was to source, test and implement new products for a complete environmental solution service offering for the retail, building and commercial sectors.Murray represents Western Australia on the board of Master Plumbers Australia, the national industry body that advocates for the plumbing and gas industry specifically in the areas of licensing, qualifications and regulations.Murray is a Board member of the Plumbing Licensing Board of WA and has served on the Board since 2018.Murray was appointed to the ABCB Industry Leaders Forum in 2019.
