CEO equivalent of one of the UK Defence's operational and flying training bases with oversight and management of 7 types of helicopter with an aggregated value in excess of £600M. Responsible for 'special to arm' flying training for the Army Air Corps. Developed the courses, support and infrastructure required for Attack Helicopter (Apache), Battlefield Helicopter (Lynx, Bell 212, Dauphin and Gazelle) and aviation command and tactics training. Established as a Delivery Duty Holder (DDH) within the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) construct driving safe training, both on the ground and in the air, through rigorous assurance within an environmental culture of continuous improvement.Director and Trustee - Museum of Army Flying.Trustee - Army Air Corps (benevolent) Fund (£8m).

Innovator, designer and deliverer of TACSC course, and SME in Air Manoeuvre and aviation to ICSC(L). 2006 - 2007 UK Representative Senior NATO Defence College, Rome. Selected from across UK Defence to attend this geo-strategic course designed to prepare senior officers for executive appointments in international institutions, defence and defence related industry.2004 - 2006 Commanding Officer, 4 Regiment Army Air Corps. Managing Director of one of the UK’s premier Attack Helicopter units in the Army’s foremost expeditionary formation, 16 Air Assault Brigade.2001 - 2004 Directing Staff at Defence Academy & Royal Military College of Science. Instructor, mentor and assessor of the selected top 20% of officers from across the three Services, to MSc level.1998 - 2001 Officer Commanding Special Forces Army Aviation Squadron. Selected to command 657 Squadron, the most competitive and premier Army Air Corps independent squadron. During tenure established (and developed doctrine) for the newly created Joint Special Forces Aviation Wing. 1996 - 1998 Principal Staff Officer in 3 (UK) Division Headquarters. Principal NATO International Security and Assistance Force (ISAF) operator in Pakistan advising the 4* US Commander in Afghanistan (COM ISAF), and UK Commander in the Permanent Joint Headquarters, Northwood.Worked cross-government and internationally on collaborative projects in Security Sector Reform (SSR) in Pakistan utilising the Conflict Stability and Security Fund (CSSF) to achieve significant security capacity building, notably amongst the Pakistan paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan western provinces.
