Showroom 22 is New Zealand’s first fashion showroom and PR agency. The showroom was launched in April 2002 and has since worked with fashion labels and publications worldwide.Director Murray Bevan worked for Karen Walker for two years prior to opening Showroom 22. The experience he gained from showrooms in New York, London, Tokyo and Sydney is what led him to launch a New Zealand-based showroom that caters for the fashion industry.The showroom specialises in PR and wider marketing for fashion brands. To date, the company has enjoyed huge success helping local brands to grow effectively in the market, and has helped brands from off-shore fit effortlessly into the New Zealand market.

This new business allows me to step sideways from fashion into many other areas of PR and marketing consultation.The 16 years experience I have gained with Showroom 22 gives me a solid foundation to work with other like-minded brands in similar areas. Linking brands together, offering strategic PR advice and helping connect celebrities to endorse products are key areas of work for me.Clients to date include Telecom, Fonterra, Peroni, Ebisu Japanese Restaurant, Tyler Street Garage and Michael Lett Gallery.

In June 2017 I was lucky enough to be invited into the Deadly Ponies team as an in-house consultant Brand Manager. The role allowed me to work with the Deadly Ponies team two days a week, mostly focused on wider arching ideas and partnerships that will propel it over the next five years. The role was a natural progression from the PR work we already did for Deadly Ponies through Showroom 22 (and continue to do), and used much of my 16 years’ experience in fashion PR and wider marketing.I am continuing to consult the brand on their strategic objectives and am excited at where the brand is going both in New Zealand and abroad.
