With the experience of two previous localised Pilot Projects and the help of three other Ambassadors he was looking for help to bring it to a wider market. The Pilot Project documentation layout, the lessons re-formatting, the Home Work books, the invitations, website, Twitter and Facebook pages plus healthy discussions around business mentoring saw the launch of the North Berwick Pilot project on Sunday 4th June, with 24 children signed-up for a 10-week course and the great, great grand-daughters of Old Tom Morris and Willie Park (the first Open Champion) taking to the green to launch the Pilot with a re-creation of the last time the two families met in 1875.The Programme is highly adaptable: it's a ready-made, tailored solution for any Club to be able to adopt immediately and teach golf skills, plus the history of golf; it's suitable for a 1-week intensive course at a local Club or Group; it's a perfect fit for Schools looking to develop the child and is aligned with the Curriculum for Excellence deliverables; and it's also feasible to run it as a one-day introduction course for Clubs or Schools.
