Working with some amazing people to tackle homelessness in the Sydney area. Helping homeless people and victims of domestic violence reconnect and take control through a number of innovative project initiatives. Working with all levels of government, industry and academia alongside some amazing front line workers from Vinnies to get a practical view of solutions leveraging data. Our 'It's Home!' group of projects includes:'It's Mine!' personal postal project - to provide free post office boxes to homeless people in Sydney's CBD with thanks to support from Australia Post and Vinnies without the fear of mail being lost, stolen, damaged or withheld - this has been live since July 2018'It's Me!' personal digital ID project - to provide ID for homeless people and victims of domestic violence to enable them to open bank accounts, transact with businesses, take out leases, obtain concessions all without fearing their ID will be lost, stolen, damaged or withheld. We're working with government to try to get this up before the end of 2018'It's Zero!' homelessness elimination project - working with other community service providers, government, industry, academia and the Institute for Global Homelessness & Community Solutions Inc. This is an ambitious undertaking to bring a number of initiatives together at once to eliminate street homelessness. We're working with Act to End Street Sleeping in Sydney to do so.

Murray led IBM’s natural resources business focusing on key clients in mining, oil and gas across Australia and New Zealand. He was also responsible for IBM’s Perth-based Natural Resources Solutions Centre that develops and proves industry-specific solutions for the sector. In this role Murray worked with the region’s major natural resources companies assisting to address their key major capital project, operations and maintenance challenges. This focused on the enabling role of technology to increase production, lift productivity and deliver sustainable health, safety and environmental outcomes. Murray leveraged IBM’s consulting, cloud, big data, cognitive computing and mobility capabilities with these clients. He also worked extensively with other OT and IT technology providers engaged in natural resources to jointly deliver outcomes for owner/operators.
