Managed Information Systems for the group of companies under the Metal Manufactures banner. Included development of internal and customer facing systems to support an increase in revenue and reduction of costs. Reorganised the infrastructure and help desk functions to provide improved uptime and cost efficiencies. Renegotiated several supplier contracts to bring down IT costsInvolved close liaison with managers of all the branches and their regional general managers. It is a company where relationships are important so this was as much a communications role as it was a technical direction role.

In addition to the Asia Pacific and Indian Information Systems Department I ran a shared services function consisting of the National Customer Service Centre, Tele-Account Management, Accounts Receivable Credit Collection and Master Data.Key Successes...Part of the regional executive team that hit stretch targets most years. Supported the business expansion into India and China. Managed an IT budget reduction by several million dollars.Jointly managed a successful SAP implementation in Australia and India. Led the change management activities for staff and 18,000 customers. Enabled rapid critical decision making and brokered resolutions with stakeholder disputes. Key business leader for a GS1 sponsored Australian multi-company project tracking assets and goods throughout the supply chain using RFID. Recognised as a success and supply chain enabler by the government.Identified the business transformation potential of merging the departments above, facilitated and managed the implementation resulting in $2.5M cost savings. The resulting team under my leadership achieved the lower DSO ever ($2M saving), significantly improved transaction rates and call grade of service in customer service to levels never seen previously, reduced costs through Indian outsourcing, solved several business process issues impacting customers and increased sales leads by 10%.
