Since launching Living is Selling, my sales and marketing business in February 2021, much has changed. Through new business relationships and being willing to adapt and seize new opportunities, my business has morphed into a unique business category. As my business grew, I have positioned myself as a contract salesperson. With this new model, I now represent two clients. For 25+ years, Unite Interactive has been providing web design and digital marketing services to businesses across Canada. Castellan Information Security Services is a specialized professional cyber security consulting firm. Both Winnipeg tech-based businesses are led by visionary owners who want to grow their businesses and see the value in working with an experienced salesperson under contract vs. going through an expensive hiring process. My role for both companies is to provide business development services to targeted sectors in private industry and non-profit organizations. This position ideally suits my sales and marketing background, as it allows me to pull from 35+ years of experience in B2B sales. I also welcome the challenge of learning about the highly technical services that I am presenting to new prospects for both of my clients. When asked, I am also able to work with existing and new clients, providing services for sales training, advertising and marketing, and conventional and digital media buying. When not working, I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, biking, golfing, and kayaking. I strongly believe in the benefits of giving back too. For over two years, I have volunteered with the Canadian Red Cross in the Friendly Calls Program, offering an ear to those suffering from loneliness.
