I have enjoyed more than 40+ years in IT spanning five countries, as a wide technical, architectural, and strategic specialist, balancing practitioner and consultant depending on the role and/or the circumstance. The industry reach comprises financial (banking and stock exchange), aerospace, retail, Defence, logistics, academic and research, as well as customer-facing from the vendor side.I bring a combination of highly focussed critical thinking, encompassing business process, technology and industry-fit to define optimal solutions for clients. I perform best as part of a team on large and complex greenfield and/or transformation programs of work, dealing with time-critical dynamic requirement changes. I have excellent interpersonal skills, and an innate ability to interpret and successfully present complex and high-value concepts to all participants, from technician to CEO/board and external vendors/partners. Finally, my number one skill is persistence/perseverance, based on 28 years of caring for my wife who suffered a major brain haemorrhage in 1995; this includes daily DIY rehab exercises (not from clinicians, as doing it ourselves has heralded a far better outcome).
Listed skills include Virtualization, Disaster Recovery, It Strategy, Cloud Computing, and 46 others.
