About Murray Pollock
I am currently Professor of Statistics and Data Science, and Director of Statistics and Data Science within the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics at Newcastle University. I hold additional responsibility as the Director for the CDT in Cloud Computing and Big Data (run jointly with the School of Computing).My current research interests are in computational statistics and data science, and are concerned with addressing practical constraints that arise in modern inferential settings (for instance, algorithmic scalability with data size).I am interested in interesting (!) opportunities. This can be either in a consulting capacity, or a collaborative one (particularly if there is a strong alignment with my research interests).
