In July 2007, I relinquished the uniform of the Indian Army as a Maj General. Since then, I have been a Consultant, engaged primarily in Business Development in Defence and Aerospace industry.I spent a predominant part of my military career in leadership positions, led by personal example and placed a high value on ethics. While I was an action-oriented trail blazing leader, I simultaneously pursued knowledge in the emerging domains of Business, Technology, Media, Management, Environment, Rural Development and Social Upliftment. Between July 2007 and now, I have been focussed on consultancy assignments towards business development, helping Indian and foreign companies. To name a few ; Goldman Sachs for evaluating prospects in 3G spectrum auctions, DLF for networked Locality Security, Soma for Building and Operating telecom infrastructure on franchisee basis, Elbit of Israel for Naval Network Centric Operations (including the air segment), Samsung Electronics for Wimax, Dastan of Ukraine for transfer of leading edge technology.. Prior to 2007 in the Army, I spent a predominant part of my career in large project management. I specialized in Systems Integration in Software & ICT domains. I am also familiar with Radars, UAVs, Missiles, Seekers, Night Vision and Sensors. Common to both the stages of my professional career ; my experience spans operations, security, value added services, procurement, installation, maintenance & outsourcing.I have worked with service providers, government agencies, manufacturers, channel partners, retailers, companies & content providers.I have personally interacted with the top leadership of many of these companies.My assignments were in Urban & Rural areas with very large work forces in 40 different locations, exceeding 300 engineers and 25,000 skilled diploma holders. The staff, as also the users of my services, was from diverse geographies, ethnicities & religions.I am presently at closing stages of finalising recommendations for multiple facets of security; international relations, military power, internal cohesion, demographic dividend, water security, food security, social security and good governance.
