Moderator - Torq Forums (Volunteer/Non-Employee)M-Audio Oct 2007 - Jan 2014Cumberland, Rhode Island, UsModerate user interaction, train other moderators, work to define processes to build an online user community that fosters the sharing of ideas. Assisted with defining the moderator standards for M-Audio's user communities. Helped with reputation management, technical troubleshooting and other tasks to assist with the growth and promotion of the Torq product line.Unfortunately, when M-Audio was purchased by InMusic Brands, the Torq DJ line was shut down and eventually, the forums. Prior to this, the social media and support in the forums was top notch and the user community was truly coming together. We had multiple celebrity DJs who had joined and were participating in the forum, as well as many newcomers to the industry and DJing in general. It was a great place to learn, share and grow. The unofficial position I held was the ability to provide alternative theories and to keep the rumors under control. Despite being under NDA, I had more freedom than employees to speak my mind and to divert the rumor mill to more logical options without violating the NDA. While I was approached about becoming an employee both M-Audio and I knew that my ability to function on the forums would be limited if this came to be.While there, I actually dialed into early meetings to define the moderator guidelines and to help build the new support forums for M-Audio which I also moderated for a period of time. -
