About Muhammad Musoddiq Bin Jaafar
Analytical research scientist with almost nine (9) years working experience in R&D and laboratory environment especially in thin film processing, semiconductor technology, and devices fabrication. Currently worked at Compound Semiconductor Technology, ICST, Taiwan and IMEN, UKM for more than three (3) years for collaboration work between two countries. Also, currently a final year of dual Ph.D. program in ‘Microengineering & Nanotelectronics’ and ‘Semiconductor Technology’ under two university which is Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia & National Yang-Ming Chiao-Tung University NYCU in Taiwan. I have been awarded a master’s degree at University of Malaya related to energy harvesting in the future in 2017 and my bachelor’s degree in Physics at Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2012.My passion is heavily associated to future technology as I have successfully produced Gallium Nitride based sensor devices for possible biosensor application that could thrive in medical area. Furthermore, I have successfully performed a research concept on non-volatile memory (NVM) devices for a possible next generation rewriteable carbon flash memory with flexible and near transparent characteristics which are collaboration work with MIMOS Berhad that aiming at strengthened a future technology on flexible computer or mobile devices that could be fold and transparent.Previous work on energy harvesting research, which is a collaboration work with University of Cambridge, I was one of the co-inventors of a patent and our team have managed to win Newton Prize worth RM635k for the development research based on our track record (https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2017/11/29/um-algae-project-wins-newton-prize-msian-team-bags-rm635000-for-its-efforts). The project required the project member to be expertise in physics, biology, and a fragment of chemistry, and we have managed to produce a remarkable prototype of a new generation of biophotovoltaics devices which is used for harvesting energy from algae and able to produce 118% higher power output from conventional technology.I also an avid writer which I have been an author and co-author for various published articles in popular science magazine and book. My book titled ‘The Physicist’s Odyssey’ is available in Kinokuniya and various bookstore nationwide (https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=musoddiq+kinokuniya) and one of my works has been awarded literary award from HSKU 2016 under Utusan Publication.
Listed skills include Langmuir Blodgett Assembly Method For Biophysics Approach, Electrical Study On Dna, Thin Films, Thin Film Characterization, and 5 others.
