I supported a team of 5 engineers as part of the Amazon Style machine learning organization. My main responsibilities were mentoring and guidance through 1:1s, project prioritization, creating technology roadmap, as well as giving feedback on design and architecture discussions.

I built the internal associate facing web application for machine learning annotation and performance evaluation. I developed the strategy for evolving the application to help increase purchase conversion of ML recommendations. I also contributed to the code base and architecture of the backend system serving real-time customer recommendations. These ranged from new feature development to operational improvements such as API latency reduction.

Produced patented inventions to maintain NEC's competitive edge in telecommunications and wireless solutions industries. Of particular note was the RFID self-checkout gate that allows customers to walk out of a retail store with purchased items in hand without requiring extensive camera deployment. Graduated with a Ph.D. working with Srikanth Krishnamurthy. Thesis title is "Resource Allocation Techniques to Improve the Performance of Wireless Networks"
