Mustafa Ekinci is a mechanical engineer experienced in precision optics and mechanics. He obtained BS degree in 2007 and started working in high resolution telescope development project of Middle East Technical University while he was studying for his MS degree. He obtained his MS degree in 2010 and started working for TUBITAK National Observatory. He worked with European Southern Observatory (ESO) in a joint program. He had chance to work in Paranal telescope site and Garching headquarters. While he was at ESO, he was involved with Hydraulic Bearing Systems (HBS), Four Laser Guide Star Facility (4LGSF) project and design of ERIS arm for Very Large Telescope (VLT) cassegrain focus. In 2013 he started working for TUBITAK Space Technologies Research Center. He successfully completed mechanical design and analysis, followed up manufacture of mechanics and optics, integrated mirrors where WFE error specifications were less than 20 nm of a 500 mm diameter collimator telescope project. He has experience in design, analysis, preparation of manufacturing drawings and integration of high precision optical telescopes.
