I gained hands-on experience with Beckhoff PLC systems, where I programmed and configured automation processes. Additionally, I worked with Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal to develop, simulate, and troubleshoot automation workflows, including integrating Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and configuring network settings for industrial systems. In parallel with automation, I focused on OT security, where I analyzed network traffic and packet headers manually to identify potential security threats. Without relying on SIEM systems, I used packet capturing tools (such as Wireshark) to inspect network packets in real-time. This allowed me to monitor communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC-UA) and examine packet headers for anomalies like unusual source IP addresses, abnormal traffic patterns, and protocol deviations. By inspecting the headers, I identified signs of malicious activity or misconfigurations and mitigated vulnerabilities in OT environments, thereby contributing to the security of critical infrastructure.Through this experience, I enhanced my technical skills in industrial automation, OT security, and developed expertise in analyzing network traffic to secure and optimize control systems.
