EngineerDnv Gl Apr 2013 - Dec 2017Høvik, Oslo, NoAsked to address issues related to qualification and verification of offshore and onshore systems including risers, pipelines, subsea structures, foundations systems and gas processing equipmentKey Roles:• Perform CFD analysis and participate in DNV GL's cutting edge joint industry research projects on riser and subsea systems• Conduct research and development that helps to improve the integrity and reliability of casing and cement barriers related to lasting zonal isolation (Plug and Abandonment (P&A) Strategy) in offshore wells• Interface between various teams such as the riser systems, subsea structures and foundation engineering groups • Perform dynamics analysis of riser systems• Perform non-linear finite element analysis of subsea structures and offshore foundation systems -
Graduate Research AssistantGeorgia Institute Of Technology Aug 2007 - Apr 2013Atlanta, Georgia , UsFluid-Structure Interaction of Flow Past Elastically Mounted Rigid or Flexible BodiesResponsibilities: Asked to address issues that are unique to Vortex Induced Vibrations (VIVs) formulations and are consequence of structural motion. The specific problem was to better estimate forces on the structures by conservation of local and global mass using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)Key Achievements:• Developed a three dimensional (3D) well-structured software that performs numerical investigations in FSI phenomenon of solid or flexible immersed bodies which are elastically mounted in water flows• Developed a methodology to assess forces on floating systems such as host structure, riser, tendon, and mooring technologies and offshore platforms under large-scale motion• Significance of the resolved methodology was that the software was able to present a comprehensive validation of non-boundary conforming meshes on surface force distribution for moving boundary problems -
