 Real-time monitoring and control of 400kV GIS Substations, Operation & Maintenance of 400KV GIS of ABB make-ELK 3 type, Double bus-bar system. Operation & Maintenance of 600MW Turbo generator & Auxiliaries, Boiler & Auxiliaries, ESP of HEC make. Co-ordination with SRLDC (Grid) in case of GT, Line, Bus & Reactor Charging/Shutdown. Weekly energy consumption update at SRLDC (South Regional Load Despatch Centre) website login. Maintenance and troubleshooting of Power and distribution transformers of ABB, AREVA, VOLTAMP and KIRLOSKAR make.  Maintenance and troubleshooting of 11KV, 6.6KV and 415 V Switchgears of ABB, SIEMENS and HEC. Maintenance and troubleshooting of VCB, ACB, and SF6 breaker of ABB, GE, C&S ELECTRIC, SIEMENS and AREVA. Operation & Maintenance of 1500KVA Emergency DG set of CUMMINS make with AMF Panel. Handling Emergency condition (Black out / Grid failure) and standardizing the plant operations with Grid. Handling of normal and emergency conditions like major tripping of lines, Power transformers etc. for efficient load transfer. Monitoring critical system parameters during emergency conditions. To facilitate outages for internal & external consumers as per the day ahead outage planning. Ensuring handing over and charging of Distribution equipment’s of the system in the most efficient manner to ensure maximum availability,  Tripping and occurrence analysis of major occurrences. Modification and updation of Operating Instructions for all Stations and Lines, ensuring adherence to the Operating Instructions. Reporting and ensuring rectification of defects in the SCADA system. Load Flow Analysis for system studies, voltage profiling, short circuit studies, monitoring of Power Quality.  Coordination with fault duty engineers for facilitating outages for Zones and consumers during planned and emergency outages. Ensuring effective communication during planned and emergency outages, Adherence to safety tagging system.

Core Responsibilities ◦ Testing and Comissioning Air Insulated and GIS substations. ◦ Preventive maintenance of Substations and Switchyards (Power and distribution transformers, Isolator, LA, and Earthing system). ◦ Testing of primary electrical equipment in HV AC Switchyards with results interpretation. ◦ Testing and programming of numerical protection relays (Feeder and motor protection relays). ◦ Offline and Online Conditioning Monitoring of Switchyard equipments and Relay Protection system/scheme understanding (Numerical with SCADA). ◦ Preventive, corrective, Breakdown and trouble-shooting of substation equipments. ◦ Assist to prepare and implement maintenance schedules and procedures. ◦ Assist in developing system for preservation of maintenance records.
