* Over 19 years of Synthetic Organic / Process Development experience in a CRO environment * Broad knowledge in diverse areas of asymmetric synthesis, heterocyclic, nucleoside, and organometallic chemistry. * Extensive experience in multistep Organic Synthesis with thorough knowledge of modern synthetic methods, trouble shooting and problem solving. * Extensive knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry to discover and develop robust and scalable synthetic procedures, and transferring these processes to the pilot plant for manufacturing materials for various stages of clinical trials under cGMP guidelines. * Multiple years of experience in manufacturing APIs in non-GMP and cGMP kilo-labs utilizing 20L-100L jacketed glass reactors, and Genesis Pilot lyophilizer (25 L condenser capacity). * Several years of experience in identifying and troubleshooting problematic chemistry and scale-up issues and support pilot plant production. * Experience in writing and reviewing batch operating procedures for cGMP and non-GMP syntheses of APIs for pilot plant manufacturing. * Strong knowledge in DEA regulations and experience in working with controlled substances * Experience in handling modern analytical instruments: HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, DSC, LOD analysis, NMR, etc and purification techniques: preparative TLC, Biotage and Size exclusion chromatography * Good planning, organizational, excellent communication and decision-making skills, ability to work with people from different disciplines, along with project management and supervising experience
