After a successful career in Software Quality Management, I "retired early" from the tech world in the northeast into my new home in paradise here on Cape Haze peninsula in SW Florida. The fresh air and sunshine improved my health so much I went back to school and became a Realtor so I could actively introduce new people to this beautiful area. I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 8 years in this business, and I've been successful. In 2021 I closed over 100 transactions of my own! I cover the entire Cape Haze area including the boating community of South Gulf Cove (where I live), the golfing community of Rotonda West, the artsy Dearborn Street area in Englewood (where my office is), the beach neighborhoods of Manasota Key, and the exclusive island communities like Boca Grande and Palm Island. Retired EarlyRetired Jul 2012 - Jun 2016Forced to retire early due to very poor health in 2012. In 2014 we decided to move to SW Florida where the sun is warm and the air is clean and the indoor/outdoor lifestyle improved my health dramatically. By 2015, my Asthma went away, lost weight, walked away from my wheelchair in 2015 and went back to school to learn how to best introduce others to this wonderful paradise we call home.

Sr. Sqa Engineer & Test AutomatorBorland Feb 1990 - Feb 1994Tested & shipped 4 versions of Borland's shrink-wrapped spreadsheet software Quattro Pro Dos, and the first version of QPro for Windows. Designed and developed manual and automated test suites using macro harnesses, proprietary scripting languages, Autotester and Test Runner. Maintained and updated these suites for subsequent versions of our product. Was promoted to a full-time automator in 1993. Worked with an extensive hardware compatibility test lab. -
Sqa ConsultantLotus Development 1988 - 1990I was recruited to write complex macro programs in the old language to test the translator that transformed macros into the new version's language and syntax. Lotus introduced me to Software Testing. I ended up designing white-box unit tests by analyzing the translator code (XML) and designing positive and negative tests to validate each translation function, delivering the first release of Lotus 1-2-3G for OS/2. Tested a Japanese double-byte version (known as 1-2-3J) using a Kanji keyboard. Contract was extended for a year and a half until the OS/2 line was abandoned.
