As a student researcher for the Institute for Health in the Built Environment I worked on research involving 3D virtual reality simulations studying the effects of light on occupant comfort, physical model simulation and COVID incidence, and on a publication on the use of mass timber in healthcare settings in the United States.

As a summer Intern at PKA Architects I helped develop professional RFP's and marketing documents, aided concept programming efforts for multiple healthcare organizations, refined my rendering and presentation abilities and acted in a supporting role for interior specifications and material selection for multiple projects. By the end of my internship I gained experience in all stages of architectural design, and more specifically a knowledge of the intricacies of healthcare architecture.

At Providence Health and Services I worked as a School Outreach Intern in the Behavioral Health Department working directly with students on the BeWell Student Advisory Council and Staff from Providence, Well Being Trust, OASC, and #ICanHelp and IHeart Radio to end mental health stigma in schools and provide resources for students experiencing mental health challenges. My job was to find creative ways to empower the BeWell Student Advisory Council members to effectively carry out projects by creating and providing guides, developing marketing material, meeting with students, coordinating events and supporting staff.

As a Community Outreach Intern I assisted the California team in developing reports and materials such as a community profile of the Arroyo Verdugo Subregion, portions of a community guide for AARP's San Jose Housing Charrette, and an intern brochure. Throughout my internship I was tasked with interviewing over 250 prospective volunteers and matching them with the appropriate staff members. I also developed original online training courses for a variety of volunteer roles on the AARP volunteer portal that were used as an example for state offices across the country. In addition, I helped staff develop speaking points for dignitaries for the housing charrette and created a staff briefing packet for the event. As an AARP intern it was my responsibility to represent the organization, advocating for the 50+ and their families.

As a Senior Student Technical Lead I maintained all the responsibilities of a Student Technical Lead, with additional management responsibilities. Some of the additional responsibilities included organizing and implementing student meetings to discuss work improvements and plan events, overseeing student leads and assistants, as well as working on reports involving damaged furniture in classrooms and contacting furniture vendors.

As a Sales Clerk and Cashier I sold, set up, and organized sales products each day for the golf center. I was responbile for consistent knowledge of all current sales products at the largest golf product sales events in the Northwest. I was also responsible for phone communication, cash and credit card transactions, scheduling tee times, as well as scheduling lessons with golf professionals in the facility. This position enhanced my customer service and communication skills, as well as my ability to work effectively with different members within a company.

As a Junior Golf Camp Counselor I was responbile for coaching 60 to 80 campers each day at the number one junior golf program in the United States, passing through 1700 kids in a 12 week span. I provided personalized instruction handouts for each student daily, as well as assisted head coaches in games, instruction and safety measures. This position involved managing large volumes of students as well as maintaining effect communication between head coaches and supervisors.
