Mike Van Ryn, Vice President of Talent Development for the Zeigler Auto Group sees the best part of his career as helping others achieve their full potential and experience success! Mike spent ten years in education where he started out as a teacher and moved up quickly to the principal of a large elementary school with over 500 students and more than 50 staff members. One of the best successes in Mike’s educational career was helping his school achieve National Blue Ribbon status, being one of only 130 elementary schools in the nation to achieve this award! Now a large part of his job, with a company of over 2,550 employees doing over 2.3 Billion in sales, is the selection and placement of the right talent for Zeigler’s 41 dealerships in Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois. Mike takes a personal approach to developing a relationship with all of his recruits, ensuring them the best fit in their position and dealership. He enjoys recruiting top talent and placing them in the right fit. After candidates join the Zeigler family, Mike coaches, engages and grows all of his recruits to become professionals in their respective positions and locations. Some of the other things Mike enjoys most about his career is growing the Talent Development Team, and helping build world-class cultures across the group! Zeigler's performance groups help build talent for promotion from within. This is something Mike loves overseeing! Mike also started Zeigler University Guest Speaker series; Zeigler brings in highly-sought after guest speakers in which the team can learn and grow professionally and personally!
