I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over 10 years of experience in various mental health settings. Seeing a need for a specialized program of treatment for active and former NFL football players, I had the opportunity to create and co-found Sage Elite Healing. My expertise lies in Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression/anxiety disorders, and brain trauma - all prevalent among retired football players and athletes. I’ve dedicated my career to helping former NFL players and their families overcome the unique challenges they face and provide guidance as they navigate adverse symptomology. I understand the physical and emotional toll that football can take on the body and mind. I’m committed to helping clients navigate the difficult transition into the next chapter of their lives and refine their purpose beyond the game. Myself and the Sage Elite Staff utilize multiple clinical modalities (CBT, DBT, SFBT, MI, ACT), coupled with a holistic body-mind-spirit approach, to bridge the gap between peak performance and quality of life. This approach involves understanding the Four realms of Healing (Mental, Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual) and evolving our mind-body connection. Along with the clinical and holistic approaches, our staff strongly believes in Nature-based modalities and reconnecting ourselves back to the natural world. The Rocky Mountains of Colorado provide the perfect environment to explore our true selves. Aside from nature, we also utilize body-based mindfulness training, Mindful-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), breathwork, progressive muscle relaxation, Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE), Yoga Nidra, Hot Yoga, psychoeducation, expressive art, and psychodrama.In addition to my clinical work, I’m actively involved in the healing community as an advocate for player mental health care. I frequently speak at conferences and events advocating for ptsd awareness, increased player health resources before, during, and after the game.
