Each project was located partially or entirely within a high quality / exceptional value designated watershed.Ameren MGP Site, Quincy, IL - The 2-acre former manufactured gas plant (MGP) was to undergo remediation to address the recognized environmental conditions associated with gas production. An antiquated, yet operational 96"Wx 84"H limestone arched combined sewer ran through the site. A system was designed in collaboration using phasing, pumps, and slide rail shoring to allow for the removal of the arch and nearby soil concurrent with the installation of a replacement 96" concrete pipe. Phased grading and erosion control measures were used to prevent stormwater runoff from contamination and entry into the storm system.

Responsible for full project coordination with clients, consultants, and government agencies to ensure that projects meet the needs of the developer and comply with local and state regulations. This project included a complex hydrology and hydraulics study which incorporated basin routing, cascading detention basins, and flood prevention design along with a 357-acre master drainage study for the surrounding area.Box Springs Apartments - A 12.5-acre multifamily residential development for Lincoln Properties, located in the City of Moreno Valley, California. This project included the preparation of an extensive Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP). The city of Moreno Valley has a reputation for being the most difficult city in Southern California from which to attain WQMP approval. Our WQMP was approved in record time. Consequently, the city has recommended our services to developers needing a WQMP. Calimesa - A 3.8-acre commercial site for Watson & Associates in Unincorporated Riverside County, California. This project includes a Caltrans Interstate-10 realignment and a 1150-acre off-site drainage study.

Assist the Materials Coating Laboratory in the research and development of low-cost, special-use paper.

Ran small scale production batches of polyester and polyesteramide wire enamels to establish reasons for manufacturing difficulties and variances in physical properties.Determined process adjustments necessary to salvage a 35,000 kg manufacturing batch damaged in a dust fire explosion. The materials were successfully converted to a finished and sellable product resulting in the savings of approximately $130,000 of potential material loss and waste fees.

Selected to redesign and implement a portion of the graduate analytical laboratory to increase the ease of application and educational breadth. This entailed: writing experimental procedures, building necessary components, maintaining the instrumentation, replacing or repairing damaged equipment, running preliminary experiments, and obtaining accurate results.Guided both graduate and undergraduate students in the application and use of UV/Vis Spectroscopy, GC/MS, FT-IR, ICP, AA, HPLC, CE, Raman, NMR, MALDI MS, Fluorescence, SEM and wet chemistry techniques.
