Dr. Hallman u. Knippschild is a 4.-generation-family holding. When I took over this role the company held minority stakes in G. Friedr. Theis Kaltwalzwerke in Hagen as well as their global subsidiaries. During my tenure and under the lead of the majority owner, a Dutch private equity group, we managed to successfully fulfill and terminate the insolvency plan proceedings of G. Friedr. Theis Kaltwalzwerk and sell all operative companies to strategic investors. The family holding will be dissolved.

Being part of the Valeo group, a globally leading automotive tier one, the gestigon office and lab was in charge of research and development activities (including commercial delivery / SOP) of body tracking and gesture control solutions for automotive. Partners were not only the Valeo group, but also other third party customers in the relevant markets. Second vertical was AR/VR with focus in use cases for the automotive market.As General Site Manager in Lübeck I was in charge of the integration (especially non-technical aspects) and growth strategy of the Lübeck' activities and office (former gestigon activities).

Parallel to my tasks in Lübeck, I worked in the Valeo' team cooperating with startups and venture capital to bring innovations into the organization, enable matchmaking, and support POC cooperations.

Aside from the overall responsibility as a Managing Director, I took care of all non-technical aspects of the company, including - but not limited to - business development, sales, contract management, finance, investor relations, HR and public grants. gestigon had its HQ in Lübeck/Germany, an office in the Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale/USA) and a business development organization in Italy. gestigon was acquired by Valeo in 2017 providing a double-digit multiple for our early stage investors. Genlytics was targeting the market for end-user genetic profiling. The venture was terminated before founding due to delay of announced changes in the German legislation.

Immungenetics AG develops tests and drugs targeting autoimmune diseases based on genetic profiling. I was responsible for the entire organisational- and operational set-up from day one, including financials, public grants, hirings and the introduction of a certified quality management system (DIN 9001 and 13485). Immungenetics AG is a company of the innoveas group.

PVA-MV AG was a company of the innoveas group. The PVA-MV AG supported and consulted academic institutes in the commercialisation of ideas/inventions/patents from their research.

NatMedics developed phytopharmaceutical extracts from blueberry and cranberry plants against adipositas and diabetes II. The company received funding from engage Key Technology Ventures and the German government. I was CEO of the company and responsible for all operative matters including regulations, funding, public grants, HR, etc. The technology was developed in cooperation between the University of Rostock, the Leibniz Institut for Catalytics, and the Institute for Diabetes, Karlsburg. NatMedics was closed down and liquidated after two years due to a lack of results during the pharmaceutical studies.[A new company was founded with the name and logo of NatMedics, they even used the former homepage in 2017. I am, in no way, associated with this new company.]

During my time at Ericsson AG (Switzerland) I had different roles in sales and sales support. My last job was being Head of the Customer Unit Swisscom and thereby being responsible for approx. 85% of Ericsson's revenues in Switzerland. In parallel I was deputy country manager and member of the Board of the Ericsson MUNE (Market Unit Northern Europe).

As the Head of the Legal Department (D/A/CH) I managed a team of legal counsels and personally took responsibility for the legal support of different projects and programs, esp. in the area of Intrapreneurship, Mobile Services as well as negotiation/renegotiations of UMTS supply contracts.

While working at Clifford Chance in the department of M&A / Corporate Finance I had a special focus on consulting tech companies and building up a customer base of start-ups for the Leipzig' office.

At the Allianz Insurance Company I was Legal Counsel in the area of HR-Sales and supported the Allianz management team in Saxonia and Thuringia (belonging to the 'ZN Leipzig') in all legal aspects. Additionally, I was in charge of the complaints management and supported the Board of Directors in a number of projects.
