I am adding my new role as a public servant "SARPANCH" of the Mehragaon village. The Gram Panchayat is the first and lowest level of rural local government. I will be serving for the next five years for Mehragaon Village panchayat for Education, Health Care, Women Empowerment, and Sanitation. Let's make a better world for the next generations.

We are a volunteer-driven, non government organization solely committed to improve the quality of life in rural India. Our target segment has millions of despairing families who are living below poverty line -- at an income of less than a dollar a day. There are numerous challenges in uplifting such families and many of their problems are intertwined resulting into a perennial trap. This requires a holistic approach at multiple fronts if we truly want to empower them and succeed in our objectives. Our initiative will first focus on Vindhya and Central region of India and we are looking for potential collaboration in other parts of the country. We invite doctors, educators, social activists and people from all walks of life to join us and help those who need it most. We have identified certain areas and targeting those segments with simple yet effective initiatives at ground level.

People of Baghuvar worked 35 years to develop this village This book shall showcase some salient features of Ideal Gram-Baghuvar.No Panchayat Election: This is very unique about this village that there was No Panchayat (Sarpanch) election after India's independence. Every time people choose their Sarpanch unanimously.Effective utilization of government schemes : In this village, none of the government schemes fail because the villagers know how to effectively utilize government schemes for village development. Underground Sewage & Water Harvesting: The village has underground sewage lines for years now. Villagers have connected these waste water pipelines to an old well. Exemplary Self Development: Baghuvar boasts of the highest number of Gobar Gas running plants in the state for a village.Ghar-Ghar Shauchalay (Toilet): All the houses in this village have lavatories. There is also a common toilets complex which is made for the use if there is any social gathering in the village. Green Village, Clean Village: Each and every corner of the Baghuvar village have turned green as if the entire village is a garden! There is no garbage and sanitation problem. Education for All: Efforts of the villages have bore results in education also. The village now has a senior secondary school. Spiritual Connect: In Ramayan Mandal of the village, Ramayan is recited every Tuesday and Saturday. From last 50 years, a Prabhat Pheri is held regularly at 5 am in which all villagers participate with enthusiasm.

Swaraj Mumkin Hai ! a documentary film is about spreading message of Swaraj through a case study in a village named Baghuvar. The village is located in the block Kareli of district Narsinghpur, State of Madhya Pradesh, is a LIVE example of an ideal village in today's India. It shows the way how people can love their village and stop fleeing to cities for employment for better life. Baghuvar has set an example of exemplary development and real Gram Swaraj. A team of social workers led by Maya Vishwakarma recently reached this village and saw the development. The work of the village is such that it is for certain a big news story on the lines of Ralegan Siddhi and Hivre Bazar.We wish to let people know about it and also know that it does not take some celebrity to endorse a Gram Swaraj Model. If we can inculcate the true feeling of Loving Your Motherland in the people, every village of India can become an Ideal Village as envisaged by Indian Prime Minister recently in his Aug 15 speech.

I am volunteering here under Wally Austin. The job involves visiting with patients for the purpose of helping them to feel more comfortable. This is done by primarily offering them a portable CD player in conjunction with music CDs. I am helping to the patient select one or two music CDs from a large and varied music library, sometimes offering suggestions based on the patient’s needs. I will also supplypatients with “books on CD” when requested. I will also supply patients with a portable DVD player and a movie when requested when available. Administrative tasks include cleaning and preparing materials for reuse while maintaining a log of patient usage. In this position, I am working independently while interacting with hospital staff to understand precautionary measures regarding patient contact.
