Als adviseur water en bodem werk ik samen met gemeenten, provincies en waterschappen aan beleid en uitvoering rondom de principes van 'water en bodem sturend'. Ik werk in, met, en aan de balans tussen wat mensen nodig hebben en wat het water- en bodemsysteem nodig hebben. Dat doe ik door klanten te helpen hun processen en beleid (her) in te richten op deze holistische blik.

As a policy officer in the Directorate-General of Water & Soil, my tasks included:• I improvied internal planning & evaluation of water-related knowledge and innovation, by developing strategic knowledge & innovation agenda's (SKIA's), monitoring program-level engagement and results, as well as reporting and advising on results and potential improvements to our knowledge processes.• As a liaison to the Topsector Water & Maritime for Human Capital, I developed a roadmap for 2020-2023, focusing on promoting the water sector to students and the workforce, developing learning communities and knowledge networks within the sector, and making sure our data and knowledge base was up to date. Together with the program manager, I improved the program's governance and financial stability.• I coordinated the yearly report "De Staat van Ons Water" (the State of Our Water), working together with internal and external partners (Unie van Waterschappen, IPO, VNG, Vewin) to collect 150+ contributions from all across the public water sector, condensed into a readable report on current developments in water policy, which the Minister presented to Parliament each May.• I worked on several portfolio's concerning digitalization in the water sector, including cybersecurity in linked water infrastructure, FAIR data use, digital collaboration, and considering how new techniques (satellite monitoring of dikes, digital twins, etc.) might fit into future policies.

International NGO of 45 employees and 600 CSO partners worldwide, with expertise in the areas of capital flows, water governance and agroecology. My tasks included:• Analyzing capital flows to development projects in sub-Sahara Africa from international financial institutions (IFI’s).• Staying up to date on IFI policies concerning development projects regarding human rights and ecology and environment.• Analyzing national policies and laws concerning development projects regarding human rights and ecology and environment.• Creating detailed rapports and recommendations on the approach of IFI’s by Both ENDS and partners.• Presenting findings and recommendations, both oral and written, to internal colleagues or external audiences, including local partners.

NGO in Myanmar defending the rights of the native Karen population, with a focus on water governance, land rights and peacebuilding. My tasks included:• Writing the annual report and summaries of water governance and alternative energy projects.• Developing policy recommendations for a local alternative energy project (off-grid micro hydro, solar and wind energy).• Evaluating a community project on democratic water governance.

International IT consultancy and outsourcing company, 5.000 employees in The Netherlands. Main customers are government agencies, financial organizations and large (multinational) corporations. My responsiblities included:• Process analysis and optimization, modeling and integration of processes.• Independent execution of a 12 month process analysis assignment, which mapped over 200 business processes through interviews and workshops.• Interviewing and facilitating workshops on every level of the organization, from operational to strategic. .• Stakeholder management, finding a balance and prioritizing in different, sometimes conflicting, user wants and needs.• Coordinating and facilitating four teams at a government agency, managing their deadlines, time and workspace.• Coordinating the upgrade of digital security of five applications at a government agency.

I was chairman of Alternatieve Studenten Vereniging Karpe Noktem for the academic year of 2009-2010. During the year I officially represented the members of this students' society, and coordinated the tasks of my fellow board members. Most notable during our year, we worked on professionalization, legal matters and building a network and repution for future boards.

Chairman of the commission responsible for the celebration of the 5 year anniversary of Alternative Student Society Karpe Noktem, which will feature an entire week of festivities and activities, for members and non-members alike.

Callcenter employee. I mainly developed commercial skills during this period, and I developed some insight in the world of banking.

As a volunteer, I had to do several tasks, including security and receptionist. As a receptionist, I had a lot of contact with customers, thus developing my social skills. Also, the Museum organised some events, some with over 2,000 visitors, giving me an opportunity to see how such large events were handled.
