Acted as a team leader and manager for co-ordinating academic and research projects for DIETs and various Governmental agencies as the Principal of the District Institute of Education and Training, Wayanad, directly under the Department of General Education, State Government of Kerala since September 2012 to March 2015.

Worked in both Pre-service and In-Service Teacher Education, particularly focusing on quality improvement in the Basic Education sector, involved in teaching the participants (trainee teachers) all aspects related to English Language Teaching (theory and methods of teaching) and education core topics related to educational philosophy, educational sociology, and educational technology. Also acted as a resource person who taught participants (trainee teachers) the above mentioned topics at the B Ed level (High School or Secondary level) in the Government Training College.The In-service training programmes for primary level to higher secondary level teachers cover the entire revenue district consisting approximately 1,500 schools and an average 12,000 teachers under the government and government–aided education sector. The seven different Faculties in the DIET organize, implement, and co-ordinate various programmes initiated at the district level by the DIET and by the Central and State Governments through out the year including vacation periods. As the Senior Lecturer in various faculties (such as IFIC, ET, PSTE and WE) of the DIET, I had organized hundreds of in-service training programmes on different themes (based on the norms prescribed by the Government level authorities) and of different durations (including single-day courses and courses of 3-Week duration) during my tenure. Also I had acted as resource person (on different themes and subject areas) in different courses conducted by the other Faculties in the DIET. As a full-time faculty of DIET, had conducted a large number of field level monitoring and academic supervision of teaching and learning in different schools. Attended and oriented the PTAs and MPTAs in the district about the developments and new trends in the field. Coordinated a number of District and Sub-district level Academic and Training Programmes.
