I’m Michael Ventura, and through a practice rooted in empathy, organizational design, and the principles of personal development, I provide guidance during moments of transformation and growth. Working with leaders, teams, and organizations to embrace empathy, I've developed practices to help better understand ourselves, those around us, and our shared world. For nearly two decades I had the good pleasure to found and lead the strategy and design firm, Sub Rosa (exited), collaborating with companies including the ACLU, Chanel, General Electric, Google, Nike, and other to create higher-functioning teams and stronger customer relationships rooted in an empathetic approach, resulting in measurable and immeasurable returns. Today, after decades of helping some of the largest companies practice empathy, I am dedicated to sharing these lessons as an author, speaker, facilitator, and advisor.My first book, Applied Empathy (Simon & Schuster, 2018), has been embraced by influential, respected corporations the world over as well as institutions such as Princeton University, The University of Pennsylvania, The United Nations, The United States Military Academy at West Point, and the Obama Administration. As a writer, my work aims to embolden others to feel, think, and act with greater curiosity and a willingness to deepen their understanding of the different perspectives that influence our inner and outer worlds.As a speaker, facilitator, and advisor, I’ve offered insights and guidance to various public and private organizations through moments of transformation and growth.
