Accountable for over 200 direct and indirect technical professionals residing in the engineering offices in United States, India, South Africa, Indonesia, Chile, Australia and Germany.Participating member of the FLSmidth Minerals Division Engineering Management team which provides strategic planning for all engineering globally. Increased corporate plant engineering and design capabilities by conceptualizing, persuaded and then implementing the plan opening new groups in Indonesia, Chile, Australia and Germany. This resulted in stronger relations between the engineering group/FLSmidth and clients in the region. Implemented three engineering task teams composed of engineers and designers from five offices to evaluate all aspects of their respective engineering discipline to standardize how engineering would be performed. This included methodologies, technical programs and documentation control. Reorganized the Systems Engineering group to meet the challenging global downturn in mineral processing. This aggressive action positioned the group to meet the mineral sector recovery.

Increased visibility of the director position to the technical staff and provided the staff with management access fostering a one unit relationship which was previously lacking. This provided the staff with sense of belonging to a team and motivated them to provide their comments on how we could improve the group.
