Max Johnson is a Development Engineer - Electrical and Controls at Mayekawa Nordic. Colleagues describe him as "Dear reader, Max Johnson has been working as a Test Engineer in my department TOV (Turbine, Operation & Validation) for almost 3,5 years now and has now decided to continue his professional career adventure in another department in SGRE (Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy). Max’s role as Test Engineers was not like an ordinary Test Engineer in TOV. In fact he was in control of very unique responsibilities that not many are able to upheld. Max responsibility was (amongst many others) to maintain all software updates on our prototype wind turbines in our scope, making sure parameters was all correct every day and every time testing was done (as this can have vital consequences if not). He was also responsible for making sure that faults, findings, errors were being investigated properly and do what was necessary to maintain high availability on turbines and also inform and develop solutions together with the rest of the technology project team. Another important competence that I think should be mentioned, was that Max also performed tests in very close collaboration with specialist in the project organization and quickly made him a valuable and appreciated asset besides the core team he was working in. This was a pleasure to hear. Max came to TOV straight from school as a marine engineer and has stayed here since. He knew he was facing a challenging role, but he was up for the challenge. As a new initiative at that point, he was trained for a period outside the TOV organization to master a new area of competence for the team and he has additionally been on extra educational courses which made master the basics of his new role. Mentioned training would, however, never be nearly enough to master the level he has today if it weren’t for his tremendous drive and eagerness to understand and seek new insights inside this particular area of expertise. I am deeply sad that Max has decided to move on to another department (even though it is still in SGRE), not only because he has reached a level of expertise in the area meant for the role and him but also because he as person is EXTREMLY easy to talk to, work with and a generally an easy outgoing guy that WILL fit every team he might pass on to.
