A graduate of Chemical Engineering, I was in the Oil and Gas industry for almost 6 years, the Aviation industry for 5 years, and have made another major transition into the Financial Services sector. I was also a teacher and a part-time tutor.At Petronas, my work revolved around planning for the upstream business. My experience started from the field level and grew over time to encompass the regional level.I then brought the much-valued safety culture from Petronas to AirAsia, ensuring that each flight was operated in compliance with strict procedures and protocols, as the safety and well-being of my passengers were of the utmost priority.Covid-19 tested my resilience, resourcefulness, and entrepreneurial skills when I started my own home-based food business. I also became a part-time delivery partner with AirAsia's sister company, Teleport.In a curious twist of fate, I once again delved into a new industry at the height of the pandemic. Deriv, a financial services company, offered me the position of Customer Support Executive, capitalising on my communication skills and customer service acumen. At Deriv, I learnt the inner workings of the financial sector, which I have successfully transitioned into.I believe the future-proofing of my career and employability lies in the mastery of technology as the world moves towards further digitalisation. I hope I will continue to gain priceless technological know-how while leveraging on the knowledge and skills from my previous experiences.Furthermore, my intellectual curiosity extends beyond my professional background, encompassing interests in law, international relations and diplomacy, geopolitics, sustainable development, and corporate governance. These are topics I avidly explore on YouTube, despite my current lack of formal qualifications or work experience in these domains. I am enthusiastic about expanding my knowledge in these fields and am open to pursuing a career path related to them in the future.
