Progressed with company, beginning as a Site Coordinator working with at-risk youth and advancing to Statewide Project Director of Gardens for Learning, a childhood hunger prevention program. • Created successful outreach process and grant application guidelines that resulted in an increase from 9 to 15 program sites statewide, providing oversight for 27 program staff. • Designed comprehensive evaluation materials to measure and communicate program impacts. • Mentored staff and volunteers, providing guidance on management and lesson plans.

Directed the design, implementation, and evaluation of a statewide garden-based nutrition education program for youth, coordinating 15 staff and 65 volunteers annually. • Primary author of the 4-H Growing Connections curriculum and website, drawing on resources in nutrition, community and youth development, gardening, and food systems. Curriculum was subsequently endorsed and recommended by a national jury as a “National 4-H Curriculum”. • Built coalitions and partnerships with a diverse network of agencies, groups, and individuals to expand a small pilot program from 3 to 30 sites, serving 500 youth annually from low-income families. Trained 225 volunteers to meet statewide needs through educational programming. • Designed evaluation materials that demonstrated a statistically significant change in eating behavior among youth at-risk for hunger and malnutrition.
