To facilitate simultaneous engineering through the efficient use of 3D Digital Factory modelsusing CAD/PDM applications, to reduce factory equipment installation costs, through improved accuracy, productivity and reduced errors. Provided technical lead and supervision for a team of 10 people (2 Agile “pizza” teams of 5) people locatedacross India, Germany, UK and the USA, including performance reviews, career development etc. Developed, tested and deployed into production, network deployment images and SMS packages for sevenAutodesk application packages, for more than 8,000 users, across 23 countries worldwide. Managed development of the Ford bespoke Drawing Management System (DMS). Led problem-solving efforts with the business partner community and the software vendor. Completed all input for 2019-2020 budget planning process.

To deliver services within agreed service levels, and lead the team to respond to all applicationincidents and support requests, without any breaches of CSFs (Critical Success Factors) using ITIL/ITSM principles.Package development and testing of new software releases. Provided technical lead and supervision for a team of 5 people located across India, Germany, and the USA,including performance review, career development etc. Developed, tested and deployed into production, network deployment images and SMS packages forAutodesk application packages, for more than 8,000 users, across 23 countries worldwide. Provided consultation on methods, applications and implementation support within the application area ofplant layout data management, supporting Ford globally. Led strategy and technology development for plant layout data management for PDLA (Plant Design, Layout& Analysis) within the Autodesk Vault PDM system. Led requirements definition and problem-solving efforts with the software vendors.

To reduce lead times and costs, thorough improved accuracy andincreased productivity through the use of CAD/CAM applications. Contributed to strategy and product/process improvements for manufacturing resource management, andPDLA (Plant Design, Layout & Analysis) in particular within the corporate PLM environment, TeamcenterManufacturing. Built in-depth knowledge of the Teamcenter Manufacturing PLM product for the specific application area ofresource and plant layout data management. Led solution deployment, for the plant layout data management system Motiva eChange (3rd party COTSsolution). Promoted learning and knowledge sharing relating to plant layout data management throughout Fordcommunity. Contributed to plant layout data management solution development as a member of the Autodesk DataManagement Customer Advisory Council. Planned the design and implementation of the global data management architecture to support PDLA and itsintegration with Teamcenter Manufacturing PLM within Ford and Jaguar-Land Rover.

To facilitate simultaneous engineering through the use of CAD/CAM and data managementapplications. Developed and launched a new European wide, integrated user interface for the Plant Layout DataManagement System (PLDMS), resulting in better user satisfaction ratings for the system. Developed and implemented a training course for Plant Layout Modelling using PLDMS. Trained lead usersand system administrators. Launched the system at six plant sites across Europe. Managed the support of all nine launched sites in four European countries.

To contribute to the Company’s overall objective to get closer to the customer, and to significantlyimprove the quality of service provided to the customer by improving efficiency at the dealerships, and to provide costsavings by implementing further Ford standard business applications, running on lower cost hardware platforms. Negotiated the software contract with the external software house. Managed the re-write and replacement of the existing Ford dealer system based in Stockholm, Sweden. Co-ordinated a multi-disciplinary team from various Ford departments, external suppliers and Forddealerships. Specified the local requirements of the Swedish Ford dealers for a wide range ofbusiness applications. Launched the system at two pilot dealers, on time and within budget. Devised and executed the software acceptance testing procedures.

To standardize the approach to vehicle and miscellaneous accounting in Europe. Create opportunities to re-structure by establishing accounting “centres of excellence”, thereby achieving cost savings by closing selected European data centres, and folding back data processing operations to the established accounting centres. Maintained and enhanced the vehicle accounting and miscellaneous accounting systems. Implemented new releases of the European Vehicle Accounting System, in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Cork,Helsinki, Lisbon, Paris, Rome, Salzburg, and Stockholm. Launched the European Miscellaneous Accounting System, in Paris in 1987 replacing a local system.Specified and implemented the integration of the miscellaneous accounting system with other local systems. Provided helpdesk support to accounting departments throughout Ford of Europe.

To provide continuously improving production, quality and productivity, by contributing to theCompany’s “Just-in-Time” manufacturing strategy. To create opportunities for reduced manning levels and lower inventory costs by further mechanising shipping, receiving and in-plant material flow areas. Implemented new software in Cologne, Dueren, and Wuelfrath plants; including the first software for barcoded pallet tags at Cologne Engine Plant. Managed the acceptance test procedures for software from the external software supplier. Specified amendments to shipping and receiving, and miscellaneous data capturesystems.
