As an intern I assisted the administrative staff at Prestige. I was able to strengthen my knowledge of Title 22 Regulations for Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly in California. Through shadowing the Community Relations Director I gained knowledge and experience in sales, marketing, giving tours of the facility, inquiries, outreach, and networking throughout the local area. I also assisted the Business Office Manager with answering phones, greeting and directing guests and residents at the front desk, filing, executing Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement audits for the Executive Director regarding different areas of the facility, and assisted with other administrative tasks as needed.

As an IHSS provider I acted as a caregiver for an IHSS recipient. My duties included assisting with personal care services such as dressing and bathing, transportation and accompaniment to medical appointments, and household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

As a lifeguard I recognized emergencies and responded quickly and appropriately. I enforced policies and procedures that were applicable to the facility, closely monitored activities in the pool and on the pool deck, ensured cleanliness of the facility by cleaning the pool deck, mopping the bathrooms, and putting covers on the pool at the end of the day, and greeted guests at the entrance and handled the cash register.

As a swim instructor I taught children water safety skills and proper swimming technique, led engaging group activities related to water safety and swimming, and used interpersonal skills to communicate a child's progress to their parents.
