As part of an ongoing obesity-study, I've designed and fabricated an electromechanical prototypethat tests the effects of time-delays, on food choices, in the context of vending machine snacks. Said prototype incorporated many tasks, including, but not limited to:* Fabrication of magnetic mounting hardware, component housing, and various mechanical-assemblies. * Coded an Arduino controller with a PI-feedback-loop, user-interface, and sensor-polling functions.* Coded various ancillary atmel/avr controllers in gcc and avrlib. * Developed an inexpensive IR-Beam-Break sensor, using a hamming-pattern to reduce blind-spots.* Proto-board layout and soldering.

Designed and prototyped medical device used for an experimental treatment of amblyopia.Said device interfaces into the serial port of a PC and controls a custom-built liquid-crystal headset. Analog electronics is utilized in the LCD driver portion of the prototype, whilst most of the control and interfacing was handled via a PIC 16F876 micro controller. Note: Present prototype is under NDA.
