As a member of Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) Group of the internal TSO of Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA), I performed following major tasks:- Developed regulator's Level 1 PSA model of 300MWe NPP,- Supervised and reviewed the development of regulator's Level 1 PSA model of 1100MWe NPP,- Applied the Level 1 PSA Models in various regulatory processes,- Lead the project for development of regulator's Level 2 PSA model of 300MWe NPP,- Lead many review & assessment activities of Safety Analysis Reports (PSAR/FSAR), Periodic Safety Review (PSR) Reports, and Level 1 PSA Reports of all operating NPPs in Pakistan,- Developed and utilized the Reactor Assessment Tool for assessment and prognosis of NPP emergencies,- Performed self-assessment and human resource rationalization of the internal Technical Support Organization (TSO) of the regulatory body,- Coordinator of the Leadership Development Program-III of PNRA,- Received a Fellowship in the field of Regulatory Infrastructure for Nuclear Safety, at Safety Assessment Section, NSNI, IAEA HQs, Vienna, Austria.

Being the Head of Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) Group at the internal TSO of Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority, following were my responsibilities:- Development and Application of the Level-1 PSA models in various regulatory processes,- Development of Regulator’s Level-2 PSA model of 300MWe NPP (CHASNUPP-1),- Review of Safety Analysis Reports (PSAR/FSAR), Periodic Safety Review (PSR) reports & PSA reportsof NPPs,- Review of modifications in design & technical specifications etc.- Perform safety R&D to strengthen regulatory processes,- Technical support to PNRA directorates & management for review & assessment, regulatoryframework, emergency preparedness & planning, regulatory inspections, training, etc.- Review of relevant draft PNRA regulations, regulatory guides, and IAEA draft documents.
