Developed embedded device control software for the Control Processing Assembly (CPA) for the next generation treadmill, elliptical and climber exercise equipment. The CPA is an ARM Cortex-M3 based unit which interfaces with a Media Processing Unit for enhanced user interactivity and a motor control unit to drive the mechanical aspects of the device. This project used SCRUM agile project management processes to stay on a continuous focus of product improvement.Accomplishments include the design and implementation of: - a robust, transactional flash update system that recovers from loss of power (or other failures) during the flash process - a bootloader that interacts with the flash update system to permit staging of updates and rollback to a last known good image in the case of failure - a watchdog timer management system that allows multiple tasks to use a single hardware watchdog timer with independent watchdog deadlines for each task

Embedded WindowsImproved drivers and software supporting “Embedded Enabling Features”, including Enhanced Write Filter and Hibernate Once, Resume Many functionality that allows embedded Windows to support platforms where modifications to file systems must be strictly controlled or prevented.

Design and develop embedded software for medical devices.Designed and implemented embedded software for a mobile ECG monitor. The ARM 9 based device acquires and analyzes ECG signals, sending events in real time using Bluetooth to a back end system. Designed using UML and State Machine techniques, which allowed the software to be integrated and incorporate requirements changes with ease. Implemented with C/C++ and ARM assembly.

Developed XenApp/MetaFrame device redirection support for client device file systems, printer redirection, and audio redirection and telephony.Provided analysis and support for emerging technologies including .NET, ASP.NET, Right Management Services, Vista/Longhorn platform changes.

Developed software for WRQ's Reflection Network series (RNS) product, a TCP/IP network stack for Windows, including the PPP protocol and NFS Server.

Developed a complete communications stack used to provide remote control and file transfer services for the Laplink product line.
