• This internship was a high-impact, integrated project involving rock physics, petrophysics, geophysics, seismic inversion, stratigraphy, and geology, and it consisted of two phases.
• The first phase was building regional rock physics models which had the ability to predict sonic/shear logs for a well without having to acquire logs (potentially saving up to $100-200k per well).
• The second phase was using one of these rock physics models to perform a petrophysical inversion with in-house software. The inversion produces clay volume and porosity, and the results were able to highlight zones of.
