As a Director of Production Services, I lead a talented team of production managers who together manage over $25M in yearly revenue. My role encompasses a range of responsibilities including:-Overseeing budget reviews to ensure profitability and alignment with company policies and expectations before jobs are sold.-Collaborate with colleagues in the PMO to identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall performance and effectiveness of the project management function.-Uniting with sales leadership to drive change and education of their staff needed to streamline our process and maximize efficiency.-Assigning production managers to jobs and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources to succeed.-Pre-screening and interviewing potential new hires to build a strong and dedicated team.-Managing the production process from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.-Monitoring production quality and implementing measures to continuously improve our processes and services.-Collaborating with other departments to identify opportunities for growth and expansion of our production services.-Developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue and profitability of the productions we deliver.-Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.-Building and maintaining relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.-Managing particularly large, complicated, or otherwise high profile productions personally.I am passionate about leading my team to achieve excellence and providing high-quality production services to our clients. My focus on continuous improvement, strategic thinking, and attention to detail has enabled me to succeed in this role.

In addition to the responsibilities of a Production Manager I took on the following additional responsibility as a Senior PM:-Manage programs, often including managing staff & freelance project managers to execute each project within a program (multiple brands/booths at an auto show, or CES, for example)-Take a leadership role during the bidding process for potential projects-Train and supervise a small staff of Production Coordinators-Assist with regular reviews of our internal production process and the tools we use to produce shows; update those processes and re-tool as needed-Manage productions or groups thereof with significant show services budgets (Over $1M)-Manage roughly $10M of revenue per year-Provide expertise and direction on any other production-related matter

As a Production Manager for PRG Services, I oversaw all parts of production:-Budget creation and proposition-Production schedule generation, management, monitoring and controlling-Meetings with all project stakeholders-Local/venue labor and services management-Technical supervision recruitment and scheduling-Staff & crew travel-Equipment acquisition including rentals & purchases-Venue management interaction and co-planning with stakeholders-Trucking and logistics-On-site management of all technical, logistical, and other operations-On-site client interaction and satisfaction-Effective post-production and 'closing of the books'-Etc.My management of production logistics is coupled well with my ability and drive to form and maintain excellent client relationships. I have a proven track record of effective and efficient production management to ensure each event is a success for our clients and PRG.

As the student manager for the Titan Transport service, a free transportation service at Illinois Wesleyan, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the service as well as its long-term planning. Responsibilities include management of the staff, scheduling, and problem-solving. I am currently working on redesigning the policy and procedure manual, new methods of advertising to the student body, and re-branding with hope to increase ridership and public awareness of the service.

Promotion to Student Manager resulted in several added responsibilities. Specifically, about 80% of my time is spent providing the same IT support I did in my prior position, however, I now spend about 20% of my time managing seven student IT staff members, maintaining part of our IT inventory, and collaborating with more senior University IT Management on policy recommendations and equipment purchases.

Provide support for faculty and staff computers, printers, and accessories. This involves hardware and software problem diagnosis and solution development. In addition, I provide basic training to faculty and staff on tools sets and equipment.

This was my third year and third city interning for Production Resource Group. Unlike previous internships with the company I spent most of my time working on a special project instead of in the shop. This project involved assembling information about a myriad of PRG Scenic Technology's products. I interviewed those that work closely with the equipment, reached out to manufacturers to get up-to-date information from their end, and began assembling this data into a useful format for dissemination internally.

As an intern at PRG this year, I have worked in the shop like I did in Chicago last year, but am also working on many more show sites. I have driven a PRG project from start to completion, or as we say, "site survey to strike," and have had great success. I have also worked on a few sites as a stagehand with PRG.

Worked on variety of shop based lighting projects including pulling and teching equipment for productions. On show site, assisted the project managers with stagehand direction, and interfaced with the production team and various unions to ensure proper communication and delivery on work requirements.
