Currently, I work on Viking Link and HS2 projects.My role requires extensive versatility and in-depth knowledge of several CAD packages and an understanding of several engineering disciplines: electrical engineering, civil engineering and mechanical engineering to support the design process.Key responsibilities:-Development and implementation of advanced CAD workflows.-Preparing 3D models/drawings for tenders and construction (Civil 3D, Inventor, Revit, Infraworks) of substation approaches, cable layouts, troughs, etc.-Designing custom-made steel and aluminium cable fixtures, sealing end structures, cable supports, troughs, etc.-Creating drawings and 3D models for all project stages - from tender to as-builts.-Desing assistance in temporary works, eg. cut & fill analysis, earthworks calculations, ground profiles, processing LIDAR / Cloud Points surveys data (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Bentley Microstation Vi8).-Solving design problems.
