As a large group account manager, I provide day to day support to our clients. I help manage high quality health and welfare programs. I support all types of benefits which include fully insured, self-insured and reference base pricing medical plans, dental, vision, life/AD&D, EAP, disability and voluntary plans. I ensure client satisfaction and deliver an exceptional level of customer service. I provide beginning to end support from day to day needs, renewals, budgeting, plan design, vendor negotiations, regulatory compliance, employee advocacy support, open enrollment support, compliance and communication.

As the Benefits Advocate I provide employee advocacy services to clients and their employees by helping to resolve escalated claims situations, benefit issues, eligibility, appeals, answer benefit questions, and provide the support needed to reduce administrative costs and burden. My approach is to provide each client with a high-touch personal experience to assist them with any situation I work with clients on a daily basis to ensure their needs are met. I keep up to date on regulatory compliance issues and changes and provide updates and recommendations to keep clients compliant.

As a Benefits/Leave Administrator I act as administrator for employee benefits including: self-insured medical plans, dental, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, AD&D, 401(k), flexible spending, COBRA, and Worker’s Compensation. Reconciliation of monthly benefits bills to all external vendors. Partner with benefits broker on contract renewal, SPD review, and plan design options. Manage a high volume of state and federal leave of absences which includes meeting with employees and supervisors, processing and managing disability claims, complex leave management, and return to work programs. Analyzing data to provide to management staff. Partner with leadership on strategy for employee programs and polices like: ergonomics, commuter program, accommodations, internship program, contract renewals, and HR supervisor training series. ADP Payroll and benefit functions that include timesheet management, benefit management, and disability payments. Consult with colleagues on compliance and employee relation issues. PeopleSoft HRIS system implementation and day to day transactions.

•Acted as administrator for all employee benefit programs including: self-insured Medical and Dental plans, Short-Term Disability, Life Insurance, AD&D, PP125 Cafeteria Plan, 401(k), and COBRA.•Managed reporting and compliance for Employment Security Department claims, Labor and Industries, audit preparation, Form 5500, OSHA, ERISA, and HIPAA.•Worked directly with VP of HR on legal issues involving compliance and employment law.•Conducted full-cycle recruiting for corporate and store roles, including background and credit checks.•Implemented state and federal leave of absence policies and met one-on-one with employees.•Improved efficiency in leave tracking system and correspondence with managers and employees.•Led new hire orientations and benefits enrollment for new hires and rehires.•Planned and facilitated company-wide benefit enrollment events.•Participated as a member of the Policy Committee and the Safety Committee.•Payroll processing using ADP
