• Conduct in depth audit of real estate private equity fund • Responsible for the valuation testing of 20+ private company investments for a leading real estate asset management firm, utilizing a combination of valuation models including cost approach, the sales comparison approach and the income approach; navigating through underlying financial data from various sources to support inputs in the valuation models• Supervise and coach junior team members by delegating responsibilities, establishing concrete deadlines, assessing team progress, and briefing team leadership on status updates and potential issues• Develop detailed workflow for each team member including the audit plan, objectives, and deliverables needed to effectively execute the task• Prepare and review complex audit workpapers relating to statement of cash flows, unrealized gain/loss calculation, fair value roll - up calculations, hypothetical liquidation and waterfall calculations to determine respective partnership interests, including preferred return and allocation of net income in accordance with partnership agreement• Coordinate engagement phases and lead meetings with clients, including financial controller and senior management• Identify, research, and document accounting and audit issues as related to clients under US GAAP
